Agir Ensemble pour les droits de l’hommes (AEDH)
Tuesday 19 August 2014
AEDH (Act Together for Human Rights) initiated the ACTES projest (Action and advisory panel against Trafficking and Sexual Slavery) to fight against the trafficking of women from central and eastern Europe, and forced into prostitution in the Rhône-Alpes region. As part of the project, the organisation coordinated mentoring measures on legal, medical, psychological and socio-professional levels to integrate victims of trafficking in human beings. This project has also helped to develop cooperation between key players in countries of origin and countries of destination for victims. AEDH also coordinated the ACTEH project (Consultation and Action against Trafficking in Human Beings) that aimed to strengthen the fight against trafficking and support victims, particularly by developing the cooperation between institutional actors and concerned associations.
AEDH also gives material and financial support to a Ukrainian association (Avenir) and a Bulgarian association (PULSE) which prevent trafficking in women and support victims thereof, and a Congolese association (ALTO Africa children) and a Beninese association (ESAM) which assist child victims of trafficking.
