Congrégation Notre Dame de Charité du Bon Pasteur

Tuesday 19 August 2014

The work of Congrégation des Soeurs du Bon Pasteur is directed particularly towards women and children injured by life and living on the margins of society. It accompanies people in need, but also networks with other groups to try to change the unjust structures of society. In 1996, the Congregation received official notification that it had been granted consultative status by the Economic and Social Council of the United Nations. The representative to the UN, Winnifred Doherty, pays particular attention to human trafficking, prostitution, and violence against girls and women.
