Les Champs de Booz

Tuesday 19 August 2014

The influx of single women from Africa, Asia, and Eastern Europe, seeking asylum, presents integration and accomodation problems for Paris and Ile de France, during the period pending decision of the Office for Refugees (French Office for the Protection of Refugees and Stateless Persons).

Some religious organisations, in accordance with their common spirit, have come together to try to fulfill the needs of these women entering our territory. They work in partnership with both religious and non-religious organisations (CIMADE, COMEDE, MONGOLFIERE, EMMAUS ...).

Their objectives are to:
• Find accommodation of varying duration in Paris and Ile de France
• Provide help and support during the waiting periods for refugee status and / or the insertion period
• Facilitate integration after the obtention of this status
• Participate in certain actions for justice and peace and for the dignity of women
• Create public awareness of the realities the refugee’s life
• Communicate, make themselves known through the Web site
