Report of the Collective’s meeting held 17 April 2014 on the trafficking of minors

Following the meeting of the Collective "Together against Trafficking in Human Beings" held on March 28, the Collective sent letters of appeal to M Valls, Prime Minister, Mme Vallaud-Belkacem, Minister of Women’s Rights, Mme Taubira, Minister of Justice and Lord Chancellor, Mr. Cazeneuve, Minister of the Interior, Mme Touraine, Minister of Social Affairs and Health, as well as M Hamon, Minister of National Education, Higher Education and Research.

In the letter to Mme Taubira, the Collective drew particular attention to the issue of unaccompanied foreign minors.

Purpose of the meeting of 17 April:
The decision to organize a working group on the issue of trafficking in minors had been taken at the plenary meeting of the Collective held on March 28, 2014. The agenda of the meeting of 17 April was:
- What is the level of support offered to child victims of trafficking by the different associations
- How to identify trafficked minors especially but not exclusively among unaccompanied minors and the Roma populations
