Report of the Collectives meeting with the CGT and CFDT held 28 and 29 April, 2014

Wednesday 30 April 2014

Purpose of the meetings:
The decision to meet the trade unions was taken at the plenary meeting of the Collective "Together against trafficking in human beings" on 28 March, 2014.

The Collective contacted the CGT, CFDT and FO, obtained an interview with the CGT and the CFDT, and has not so far received a response from FO. The aim was to establish a first contact with the trade unions in order to increase the action of the Collective, particularly in terms of awareness and advocacy. It was to inquire into the participation of trade unions in the fight against trafficking and, whether there could be a designated person in each union for issues of human trafficking.
