Report of Collective’s meeting held May 15, 2014

Purpose of the meeting of May 15:
Following the meeting of the Collective "Together against Trafficking in Human Beings" of March 28, the Collective sent advocacy letters to Mr. Valls, Prime Minister, Ms Vallaud-Belkacem, Minister of Women’s Rights, Madam Taubira, Minister of Justice and Lord chancellor, Mr. Cazeneuve, Minister of Interior, Ms. Touraine, Minister of Social Affairs and Health, as well as Mr. Hamon, Minister of national Education, the higher Education and Research.

The "National Plan of Action against Trafficking in Human Beings 2014 -2016" was presented by Ms. Najat Belkacem-Vallaud to the cabinet on Wednesday, May 14, 2014; the meeting of May 15 was to respond to the Plan and by gathering comments and suggestions, to adopt a common position.

The launch of the Plan was announced Saturday, May 10 at the National Day of Memory of trafficking, slavery and abolition by the President of the Republic, François Hollande.
