Friday 29 August 2014

Article L316-1 of the Entry and Residency for Non-Nationals and Asylum Code as modified by Law n°2006-911 of 24 July 2006 - art. 39 JORF 25 July 2006.

Except when their presence would constitute a menace to public order, temporary residence permits which bear the words ’private and family life’ may be granted to a non-national who files a complaint against another under articles 225-4-1 to 225-4-6 and 225-5 to 225-10 of the Penal Code (trafficking in human beings and procuration) or who testifies against another for such crimes. It is not necessary to have a visa for more than three months, as ordinarily required by article L. 311-7. A temporary residency permit allows a non-national to work.

Where the person acused is convicted, the non-national may be granted a residency permit.
