Appeal to the Valls Government regarding the publication and implementation of a future National Plan Against Trafficking in Human Beings in France
Wednesday 30 April 2014
The publication and implementation of a National Plan of Action Against Trafficking in Human Beings is one of the principal goals of the Collective ‘Together Against Trafficking in Human Beings’ in relation to the government. The implementation of such a plan would allow France to satisfy its international obligations (Council of Europe Convention on Action Against Trafficking in Human Beings 2005 and Directive 2011/36/UE) and to respond to the observations of organisations on the ground. This goal was pursued with renewed vigour when the Collective petitioned M Valls, Prime Minister, as well as the ministers for justice, women’s rights, the interior, education and social welfare, in order to expedite the implementation of the National Plan of Action Against Trafficking in Human Beings 2014-2016. This approach complemented that which had been used with the previous Ayrault government.
The following letters are available only in French:
